Kubota Shuzo Toji Ikkon Nama 720ml
This medium-dry namazake is called the Master Brewer's cup for good reason. A "muroka nama genshu" (non-charcoal filtered, unpasteurised and undiluted) made from 100% locally grown Yamada Nishiki rice and original brewery yeast. Peachy, apple, pine and melon nose with slightly protrusive alcohol (in a very promising and seductive way) screams "drink me now". The palate is a juicy, mouthfilling splash of melon, butterscotch and cream, soft velvety texture with a touch of daidai citrus. All in all a smashing Daiginjo sake that drinks way above its price point.
Namazake should be stored refrigerated and this sake is best served fairly well chilled.
